A message from the President
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our organization. Although ETA Ministries is a new organization, the idea behind it has been a work in progress for over 10 years. The original non-profit, from which we acquired the majority of our long term plans, was called the Oregon Christian Brotherhood. We had the desire and the will but we were not ready as individuals at that point in time. Over the following 10 years, God continued to work through us and refine us until we had found true, authentic salvation. I learned to be honest with myself about my disobedience, I discovered the depth of my own effort and how it was empty and futile, but most importantly, I learned how to put down my idols in exchange for the one true God. I discovered the truth and power behind God's promises and I learned His faithfulness through the grace of Jesus.
It was at that point that I found healing and peace, but I remained uncertain about my purpose. God was definitely calling me to minister to the hungry and sick, the elderly and the orphans, but I didn't know how or where. I prayed for clarity and sought guidance from the church elders. After a period of prayer and counseling, the Lord asked me to right my wrongdoings; God asked me to acknowledge my sin and reconcile where possible, especially with family. It was only after that reconciliation that God showed me my purpose, to create this non-profit organization and do something myself. Fortunately, the Lord, in his divine oversight, knew the skills and knowledge I would require for an undertaking such as this. Unbeknownst to me, I was being prepared even while in my sin, with training in project and money management.
There is no time better than the present to make a difference! Check out the ministry/service page to learn specific details about each one of our outreach programs.
